Water Meter Project Update:

In 2005 we began a ten year plan to install a new meter at each Spanaway Water Co. residence.

  Since September, we have completed the replacement of all but a few larger inch and a half meters.  This has been an eight-year project that is now coming to an end.  The radio read meters improve meter reading accuracy, help identify potential leaks, and reduce meter reading time by more than 90%.  The oldest of the radio read meters will be due for their replacement starting in 2019.

The Master Meter 3G AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) meters have slashed our meter reading hours.
