Employee Spotlight: Tim Tayne

Filling a newly created position to meet increasing regulatory requirements, Tim Tayne serves as our Water Programs Manager and specifically oversees the Cross Connection Control, Well Head Protection, and Water Conservation programs. In addition, his expertise is utilized to assure water quality compliance, and to perform laboratory and field testing and water analysis. 

Before coming to Spanaway Water Company, Tim worked as the Water System Manager for the City of Olympia for nine years. Previously he worked as a groundwater specialist for Thurston County. He has a Master of Science in Environmental Microbiology and Biochemistry from Montana State University in Bozeman.

  When Tim is not at work, he can be found cooking for a homeless shelter, coaching cross country and track, running and bicycling.
