Spanaway Water Company is seeking to fill a Water Worker II position to perform public water system operation, maintenance and installation work. Must be self-motivated with the desire and ability to work or lead within an active team environment.

Position Summary:
This is a journey level position that serves as a senior member of the Company’s field staff for all field operations and maintenance functions. Competently, with minimal direction, install, operate, maintain, and repair/replace water system components. Maintain vehicle readiness as well as tool and equipment maintenance; commitment to emergency response; well and water treatment operation; and inspection of contracted construction projects. Responds and reports to the Field Lead or as assigned by the Field Operations and Maintenance Manager. 
 
Job Requirements:
Possess and maintain a valid Washington State Drivers and Class 'A' Commercial Drivers License (air brakes).
Obtain and maintain a valid L & I Flagging and First Aid certification.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to properly operate and maintain construction equipment.
Department of Health Water Distribution Manager I certification is required within 18 months. Basic Treatment Plant Operator and Cross-Connection Control Specialist certifications required within 36 months. 
Maintain Washington State Department of Labor and Industries competent person status; attend training for confined space and asbestos concrete pipe.
Participate in the Company’s random drug and alcohol testing program.

Wage and Benefits:
Starting salary range $22.97 to $25.84 with benefits. Starting wage based on experience, skill, knowledge and certifications. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance program as well as retirement program participation and Company funded certification training/testing.
